What does PR on the patient monitor mean

The PR on the patient monitor is the abbreviation of the English pulse rate, which reflects the speed of the human pulse. The normal range is 60-100 bpm and for most normal people, the pulse rate is the same as the heartbeat rate, so some monitors may substitute HR (heart rate) for PR.

The patient monitor is suitable for patients with critical cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, perioperative patients or patients with potential life-threatening conditions. Since continuous monitoring is required during hospitalization, and the patient monitor can record most vital signs parameters of the human body, including heart rate, pulse rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation, etc., and some patient monitor can also reflect temperature changes in the patient's body.
